Victoria Stillman began dancing at the young age of three years old following in the footsteps of her mother Marina. She started on the ballet track, and for 10 years that’s all she did.
At age five, Victoria’s life was interrupted as she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Type 1 Diabetes is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little to no insulin. Although many people with Diabetes find it hard to exercise, dancing has actually helped Victoria manage her diabetes better.
Victoria has competed for several years in prestigious ballet competitions and was a finalist several times. She has also performed many lead roles in The Nutcracker ranging from Clara to the Sugar Plum Fairy. It wasn’t until a friend invited her to try a class at the PEAK that she grew a love for many other styles of dance.
For the past four years, Victoria has been training at The PEAK School of Dance and for the last 2 years, she has been a part of their award-winning competition team. She is now enjoying her last year of dancing and competing with Ms. Kelsey as she is now a senior in high school and will be headed off to college fall 2020.
